About Us

Little Brown Acorn, Inc. exists to passionately create and grow profitable business that empowers people to embrace a life of health and sustainability.  It is our goal to give people opportunities to connect the dots between personal wellness, the wellness of others and planetary wellness.  Through our beginnings in the health and wellness and natural foods industries, we have come to see that when a person experiences a level of personal well-being, an awareness and desire to be involved in the well-being of the whole is likely to soon follow.

As a simple but meaningful example, imagine that you have decided to personally experience new levels of energy and well-being by adding a daily regimen of drinking plenty of pure, healthy water.  Through this personal experience you learn that water is good.  But you also learn that all water is not good.  Much is polluted.  Many sources contain chlorine at dangerous levels.  You may begin to wonder if you can make a difference in the quality of resource that we all need such as water… you have begun to connect the dots between your well-being, the well-being of others, and the planet on which we all live…

You are entering the world of the LOHAS Consumer and Little Brown Acorn, Inc. Revolution is the outcome. Business is the vehicle.

On April 11, 2004, a guest editorial appeared in the Grants Pass Daily Courier, authored by Scott Draper, decrying the inactivity of young people locally and nationally. This article inspired a group of community members from varying backgrounds with a common concern for the health of our local children to form the KidZone Foundation, which began activities in January, 2006. We received official status as a 501 (c) (3) organization in February, 2007. In August, 2008, the name was changed to KidZone Community Foundation..
